LIRR makes temporary fix to signal problem

The Long Island Rail Road is running on a normal schedule after a messy evening commute. A signal problem near Queens Village cause 60 to 90 minute delays on the Oyster Bay, Port Jeff, and Ronkonkoma

The Long Island Rail Road is running on a normal schedule after a messy evening commute.
A signal problem near Queens Village cause 60 to 90 minute delays on the Oyster Bay, Port Jeff, and Ronkonkoma branches.
Twenty trains were also canceled during the evening rush.
Temporary repairs were made to the signal just before seven this evening. It's not clear what caused the signal problem.
