Swimming was temporarily closed in Atlantic Beach Tuesday due to more shark sightings.

Waters were off limits for about an hour starting around 1 p.m.

Two Town of Hempstead lifeguards say they spotted three sharks - the first being 25 yards away from the shore.

The lifeguards say the sharks were about 6 feet long.

Beachgoers were allowed back in the water after there were no more sightings.
