LIers venture outdoors to make most of bitter blast
Long Islanders looking to make the most of the bitingly cold temperatures ventured outdoors Saturday.
In Massapequa, skaters were out on a frozen lake, sticks in hand, for a game of hockey.
At Cedar Creek Park, families were having a blast in the bitter cold going downhill on sleds. Others were spotted cross-country skiing or snapping photos of the wintry wonderland.
News 12 meteorologists say the sub-freezing temperatures are sticking around through the weekend.
