Many Long Islanders are breathing a big sigh of relief after most of the snow that was supposed to be dumped on Long Island missed it.
Only a dusting of snow fell in the early hours of the morning and most of it has been cleared. However, the strong winds and bitterly cold temperatures remain.
For tonight, the low is expected to reach near 9 degrees. The record low temperature was 5 degrees set in 2009.
