Thousands of people flocked to North and South Shore beaches today in an effort to beat the summer heat.
News 12's Antoinette Biordi caught up with Long Islanders at Sunken Meadow State Park, who said that it was a great day to be near the water as temperatures continue to climb.
Forecasters say that tomorrow will bring more of same: it will be mostly sunny, hot and humid with temperatures near 91 degrees.
There's also a chance of a late-day thunderstorm on Sunday.
