People are celebrating Hanukkah and Thanksgiving this year on the same day.

The once in a lifetime event will not happen again for 79,000 years.

Hanukkah began at sunset tonight.

Thanksgiving will begin at the stroke of midnight.



There will be a menorah car parade in Merrick tonight and the lighting of Long Island's tallest menorah in Roslyn Heights.
