A Long Island solider gave his Freeport family the ultimate Christmas surprise.
Army Staff Sbt. Samuel Rodriguez jumped out of a gift box as his wife and two children posed with Santa.
Rodriguez had been overseas for nine months and was not supposed to be home until January.
Rodriguez gets to spend Christmas and the next two weeks with his family before returning to Afghanistan.
