It's beginning to look a lot like...spring?
The unseasonably warm December has Long Islanders breaking out T-shirts instead of their heavy coats.
Temperatures reached 60 degrees Tuesday, which is about 20 degrees above average for this time of year.
"I like not having to have a heavy jacket on and I love not having to shovel snow before I go to work," says Mary Jo Tobias, of Garden City.
Others say they wouldn't mind a taste of winter before the end of the year.
"This is pleasant, you don't mind being outside...a little snow would be nice too for Christmas," says Carol Kavasansky, of Carle Place.
Forecasters say temperatures will be around 50 degrees over the next week.
