Residents and officials alike say they are frustrated over proposed fee hikes in Nassau County.
County Executive Ed Mangano's new spending plan includes $60 million worth of fee increases, including a traffic ticket surcharge.
Both Republican and Democratic legislators have voiced their opposition.
“We will not be supporting the fees,” says Kevan Abrahams, (D-Freeport).
Mangano's office says the revenue increase is needed to ensure critical services remain in place.
A vote is scheduled for Oct. 30.
