Possible deadly shooting under investigation in North Bellport

Police are investigating a potentially deadly shooting in North Bellport.
A law enforcement source tells News 12 the shooting happened at Robert Rowley Park.
Suffolk police are refusing to say what happened.
A crowd also gathered at NYU Langone Hospital in Patchogue roughly two miles away. News 12 spoke to a man there who said his cousin was killed in the park Tuesday night.
Brookhaven Town Supervisor Dan Panico is also commenting on the investigation.
“I have been in direct contact with Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine, Police Commissioner Kevin Catalina and Legislator Dominick Thorne regarding this tragic incident," said Panico. “Our Brookhaven Parks Department has turned over all available video footage from the park to Suffolk County Police Fifth Precinct detectives and others actively investigating this case. We will continue to provide law enforcement with whatever assistance they need. Our hearts go out to the victim and his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. We stand with the North Bellport community in the wake of this senseless loss of life."
Suffolk police have not yet confirmed if someone was killed.
