A young Long Island resident’s "message in a bottle" was found in Morocco.
Shiloé Khokhar, of West Islip, threw a bottle overboard on a 2015 family cruise to Bermuda.
Newsday says her message was found by a 62-year-old fisherman in Morocco three years later.
The fisherman's son speaks some English and emailed the 9-year-old’s dad.
News 12 has been told that their families have been messaging daily, and they hope to meet in person someday.
