It was the year 1938. Adolf Hitler had just annexed Austria, Ella Fitzgerald topped the music charts, and Nick and Mille Bruno tied the knot.

Today, the couple celebrated 75 years together, and Nick Bruno says he couldn't be happier. "We're blessed," he said. "We got a beautiful family."

The couple met in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Millie worked in the garment district while Nick went into trucking and later owned a string of Italian delis.

They raised two kids together in Greenlawn, a son, Joe, and a daughter, Anna, who passed away a few years ago. Joe Bruno says his parents have endured some tough times, but their love for one another has never waned.

Today, the couple has six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, with another one on the way.
