The MacKenzie Scott Foundation donated $50 million to Lehman College today.

The school’s president announced the news among students and faculty today at the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts.

Scott, a known philanthropist once married to Jeff Bezos, has donated to Lehman once before. Her foundation gave $30 million back in 2020, making her total investment into Lehman $80 million.

The college says it's going to invest the money into scholarships, student enrichment trips, career development opportunities and several academic departments.
