The first lawsuit has been filed in connection with the deadly Harlem fire that killed a firefighter from Long Island.

A resident of the Harlem building that burned down last week has filed a $7 million lawsuit against the building's owner and actor Edward Norton's production company "Class 5 Films."

The suit claims the company and building owner knew about the fire, but didn't warn residents.

Lt. Michael Davidson, of Floral Park, was killed battling the blaze on the set of Norton's upcoming film "Motherless Brooklyn."

After the blaze, Norton's company released a statement.

"We watched firsthand with astonishment as they charged into the smoke to make sure all were safely out and then fought to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading, putting their lives on the lines as they do every day.  The FDNY are real life super-heroes and have our boundless admiration and gratitude."
