Some Long Islanders were jolted awake by a phone call from Suffolk County police around Friday at 1 a.m.

The Suffolk County Police Department says it was a robocall to help locate a missing autistic, nonverbal teen from Amityville.

Suffolk Police Commissioner Kevin Catalina tells News 12 the robocall system they used is similar to an Amber Alert, and it went out in a 50-mile radius because detectives were fearful the teen had gotten on a train.

He was located by police at about 1 a.m. in West Babylon.
