Last-minute shoppers across Long Island crossed items off their list just in time for Christmas.
While many shoppers admitted to being procrastinators, others said the Christmas Eve shopping experience is part of a sacred holiday tradition.
"I enjoy actually going to the mall. I like the personal feel of it," said Rob Sckalor, of Mineola.
Experts say buying christmas gifts on Christmas Eve might be the way to go. Many retailers have big sales to try to move their last bit of inventory.
Shoppers flocked to Target stores Wednesday night, which stayed open late.
Roosevelt Field and Target will be closed on Christmas Day. They reopen on Friday morning.
