Residents on Baker Street in Patchogue found Ku Klux Klan recruitment fliers on their lawns.
The fliers were from the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan and read "White Lives Do Matter," and "Say No to Cultural Genocide." They also in part read, "If you hate American history, we would like to kindly ask you to get out of America!"
Residents say the fliers were also found on cars at the Patchogue train station.
Suffolk County police say the Hate Crimes Unit was notified about the fliers.
As News 12 Long Island has reported, KKK fliers have previously been passed out in Southampton, Hampton Bays, Babylon, Shirley and Wantagh.
While officials say the flier distribution is legal and covered by free speech, residents say they hope to never see them again.
