King Kullen, the longtime family-owned grocery chain on Long Island, will close an underperforming supermarket in Levittown on Thursday.
Lloyd Singer, a spokesman for King Kullen, confirmed a report that first appeared in Newsday.
He said the grocer did not renew the lease at the store located at 3284 Hempstead Turnpike. It has been there for more than 30 years.
Singer said that there would be no layoffs. It was not immediately clear how many people work there.
