Kids are hitting the books as part of a summer camp in Malverne.
Camp Read-a-Lot has been helping youngsters improve their reading skills for the past three years. The camp is held at the Maurice Downing Primary School.
Using technology, teamwork, games, music and dance, mentors work with small groups to help the kids reach their goal.
There are 40 campers in total, and 18 mentors working with them.
The camp runs for only two weeks.
