Police say an East Hampton man broke into 25 homes in the Hamptons over a 10-month span.
The DA says Justin Bennett broke into homes in Southampton, East Hampton and Sag Harbor. Bennett is accused of taking more than $126,000 in jewelry, cash, prescription drugs and family heirlooms.
Prosecutors say Bennett is addicted to heroin, which possibly fueled the break-ins.
Bennett was arraigned today in Riverhead.
