An annual tribute was held Saturday to honor Long Island heroes who died from illnesses related to their work at Ground Zero.
More than 60 names were added to a memorial wall at the 9/11 Responders Remembered Park in Nesconset.
Jon Stewart, former host of "The Daily Show" and a champion of causes related to Sept. 11 responders, read the names of all the heroes who were lost.
"To see it now be a tangible place where people can come to remember and see the names, even for me it's a place to see the names, learn them, make sure you spend the time to touch them, to feel it, and to remember the strength that comes from their sacrifice," Stewart said.
