JetBlue plane lands at JFK after bird strike

Officials say a JetBlue aircraft made an unscheduled landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport this morning. The flight took off from Westchester and was heading to Florida when it hit a bird.

Officials say a JetBlue aircraft made an unscheduled landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport this morning.

The flight took off from Westchester and was heading to Florida when it hit a bird.

The flight was diverted to JFK, landed safely and is undergoing an inspection.

According to officials, passengers boarded a new plane and are on their way to Fort Myers, Fla.
