Two intersections in Hackettstown have been renamed to honor two longtime crossing guards in the town.
Annie Bell held down the corner of Warren Street and Somers Way for 32 years. She was back at her favorite intersection this week. They renamed part of the street Annie Bell Way in her honor. Bell retired in 2022.
And not far from there, part of Arthur Terrace is now Joann Armstrong Way. Armstrong was a crossing guard there for 49 years. She returned with her family after retiring three years ago.
