An Islip man was found guilty Monday in the murder of his high school friend.
A Suffolk jury convicted Thomas Liming of murdering Kyle Underhill.
The body of Underhill, who was 18, was found four years ago under a piece of plywood in an Islip creek.
Prosecutors say Liming bludgeoned and choked Underhill, who was then buried alive.
Liming claimed he was defending himself.
