The Islanders have released new renderings and details about their future home, which is back under construction in Belmont Park.
The arena is still on track to open for the 2021-22 season, according to a recent release. Construction stopped for two months due to the pandemic.
The team released a few renderings of what watching Islanders hockey will look like from some sight lines.
The team overseeing construction says structural steel should be in place by the end of the summer and that the building will be enclosed by the end of the year.
Richard Browne, the managing director of Sterling Project Development, also says the arena will be equipped with 5G technology.
