The New York Islanders' "Ice Girls" have been swept out of a job.
According to Sports Illustrated, a co-ed crew will be taking over the responsibilities of removing excess snow and ice between the whistles at Islanders games in the 2015-16 season.
The Ice Girls crew started in 2001. They were the first cheerleader-style squad in the NHL.
The Islanders will start the new season in October at the Barclays Center.
