An Inwood man is accused of using his cellphone to record up women's skirts at a North Lawrence supermarket.
Police say Kolsave Market employee Jose Santana was helping a woman put groceries in her car Thursday. They say the woman then felt the man's hand between her legs and then realized his phone was under her skirt.
Police say they found more, similar videos on 20-year-old Santana's phone that were also taken at the market.
Santana is charged with unlawful surveillance. He denied the charge in a Hempstead courtroom Friday morning.
His bail was set at $5,000 and is due back in court on Aug. 27.
A man who said he was the manager told News 12 that Santana has been fired and worked at the store for about a year and a half.
Police also say they are looking into whether any of the pictures or videos were sold or posted to social media.
Anyone who believes they could be a victim of Santana is asked to call the 4th Squad at 516-573-6453.
