This morning, Nassau County police said they arrested a man in connection with a homicide investigation that took place in North Massapequa.

Officials previously described the situation as a family disturbance that left one person injured.

Detectives shut down the neighborhood for 12 hours between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday outside 285 N Oak St.

Investigators spent hours examining the driveway of the home and gathered evidence on the property.

Around 9 p.m., Nassau County police towed a vehicle that was parked in front of the home before clearing the scene for the night.

All the roads reopened last night after the full-day investigation.

Nassau County police said the department is expected to provide an update during a press conference at police headquarters in Mineola at 10 a.m. today.
