For days now law enforcement officials have dug at a Farmingdale industrial park looking for human remains they say have mob connections.
There was a flurry of activity at the site Sunday as investigators dug up ground near All County Flooring Supplies, and a medical examiner came to the scene, but officials have kept a tight lid on any new information. Although bones were found at the scene, it has been determined that they are from an animal.
An informant told investigators that the remains of three missing men are at the site, and investigators found an article of clothing, but haven't revealed anything else. The men are believed to be Carmine Gargano Jr., who was 21 when he disappeared in 1994; William Cutolo, a former hit man who vanished in 1999; and Robert Greaves who disappeared in 1995.
The investigation is ongoing.
