An investigation into possible animal neglect is underway after several dogs were removed from a building in Manorhaven.
Nassau police say officers were called to the building around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Video from the scene shows several dogs being placed into a Town of North Hempstead Animal Control van.
"It's important that the town and the community come to the rescue and get these animals the care they deserve," said Port Washington resident Christopher Kollar.
Police have not yet released additional details about the investigation. News 12 is working to learn more.
