A Baldwin Harbor homeowner turned the tables on a home invader Tuesday.
Police say a man wearing a Halloween mask knocked on the 54-year-old woman's door during the day. When the woman answered, police say the individual pushed his way inside.
The victim fell to the floor, but managed to push a panic button on her home security system. The man ran off when the alarm sounded. The woman told police she thought she saw a gun on her attacker.
Police searched for the man by helicopter and on foot, but were unable to find him. Nearby Meadow Elementary and Baldwin Middle schools were locked down for two hours as a precaution.
