Injured victims of fatal Deer Park crash taken to hospitals in Bay Shore, West Islip

Eight ambulance companies, 150 firefighters and EMS were at the scene of the crash.

Suffolk County fire officials say a minivan crashed through a Deer Park nail salon Friday afternoon, killing four and sending nine others to Long Island hospitals.
Three of the injured people were taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore. Other injured victims were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip.
Officials tell News 12 one of the victims had to be airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital.
Suffolk County police maintained a presence at Good Samaritan Hospital on Friday evening. They would not tell News 12 whether their presence was related to what happened in Deer Park.
Eight ambulance companies, 150 firefighters and EMS were at the scene of the crash.
"It's going to be tough for the community, tough for the volunteer fire department, but we're going to get through it," said Deer Park Fire Department Assistant Chief Dominic Albanese.
Doctors have not yet provided an update on how the victims are doing.
