An NYPD officer from North Baldwin remains in critical condition after being dragged by a car more than two blocks in Brooklyn Saturday.
NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill says Dalsh Veve, 35, is a remarkable police officer and is still fighting for his life.
Officer Veve was questioning a 15-year-old driver in East Flatbush, Brooklyn when the incident occurred.
That is when police say the teen took off, dragging Veve for more than two blocks.
The officer fired two shots into the car and hit the driver.
Veve underwent surgery and is in critical condition.
The 15-year-old driver was arrested when he went to the hospital to be treated.
