Ida's aftermath will be felt for weeks to come in parts of Long Island, including Lloyd Neck.
Crews have been working since Thursday in Lloyd Neck to restore power.
This morning, about 500 PSEG Long Island customers in Lloyd Neck were without power, but crews say they are hoping to restore it by 8 p.m.
The Lloyd Neck area was hit hard, and some described it as a "war zone."
News 12 interviewed one resident, whose family was asleep when a tree came down just feet from their bed.
