Dropping temperatures in the wake of Sunday's brush with snow could make for a slippery commute across Long Island Monday morning.
Most of the Island saw a coating to an inch of snow Sunday. Wet roads could turn to ice as temperatures drop below freezing, so drivers are urged to be alert and give themselves extra travel time.
Monday will see temperatures top out in only the upper-20s, with scattered flurries and light snow showers. Wind chills will make the temperature feel much colder.
Tuesday will see another dose of cold weather, with highs around 27 degrees. Wednesday and Thursday are expected to see a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid-30s.

The next chance for some snow arrives overnight Friday into Saturday. A storm could bring snow showers, but the exact timing and projected accumulations are still days away. Stay with News 12 Long Island for the very latest forecast information.
