Icy roads cause crashes, school closures and delays

Icy roads caused by freezing rain led to major accidents Wednesday, as well as school closings and delays.
The weather caused a tractor-tractor to spin out on I-95 in Norwalk.
Drivers in the Greenfield Hill section of Fairfield pulled over to wait for the roads to thaw out.
In Westport, a car slid off the road and into a ditch. Viewer video from the scene shows a police officer crawling on their hands and knees across the icy road to get to a crash victim.
The weather also caused delays of Wilton's at-home COVID-19 test kit distribution event. The town says it decided to delay the start of the event by three hours.
Many school districts delayed the start of classes, and some districts like Stamford and Bridgeport even canceled school.
