Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials apprehended a man from El Salvador on Wednesday for committing a sex crime against a child in Suffolk County.

Officials say Jose Fuentes-Saravia was in the country illegally and convicted of making sexual contact with a victim under the age of 11.

He was featured in a release by the Department of Homeland Security listing numerous recent ICE arrests for murder, rape and pedophilia.

“These types of violent, depraved criminals should never have been in the U.S. in the first place. ICE will continue arresting criminal illegal aliens to make America safe again,” stated Homeland Security Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis.
