A South Floral Park woman said she “thought we were at war” when a car crashed into her home.
Satee Birmingham said she and her son were asleep when she woke up to a “big bang” on Arthur Avenue just before 8:30 a.m.
She said the car, which authorities said was stolen from an Elmont residence, wound up in the living room/dining room area.
She said it's where she would normally be having her morning cup of coffee, but for some reason she decided to go back to bed Tuesday morning, after waking up around 5 a.m.
The crash was captured on a neighbor’s surveillance camera, which shows someone fleeing just seconds after the car hit the home.
Police say no arrest has been made.
They’re looking for a young man in his late teens who was wearing dark clothing.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
