Huntington's West Hills Day Camp is turning its kids into radio stars by allowing them to run a radio station.
The camp's 88.1 FM low-power station is heard by 1,500 camp kids and staff members. The radio station was developed after voice-over artist David Kaplan came to work on the camp's phone system and noticed a building wasn't being used. The owner of the facility allowed him to buy the equipment and set up the station.
The owner of the camp is making plans to expand the broadcast into five of his schools.
