Huntington couple pleads for return of stolen French bulldog

A dog was stolen from a Huntington home on Thanksgiving when her owners were out at a relative's house, police say.
Matthew Hauck says he and his wife Jennifer were out between 4:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. when someone broke into their home and took their 4-year-old French bulldog named Stella and a PlayStation 5 game console.
"Stella's literally our child," Matthew Hauck says. "We take care for her like our kid, we love her like our child."
According to police, the thief or thieves came into the house through an unlocked back door.
Jennifer and other relatives have already started posting flyers with Stella's photo all over town.
The couple says Stella is on medication and has a special diet.
They are hoping that someone finds their dog or the thief has a change of heart.
"The PlayStation, I can understand--take it, we don't want it," Jennifer Hauck says. "But we want our dog back."
A $5,000 reward is being offered for Stella's return with no questions asked.
