5h agoA new ShopRite grocery store opened in Huntington Commons after the development got a multimillion-dollar renovation and other big-box stores moved in.
The shopping center, built in 1962, has not had a grocery store since its Pathmark location closed in 1996.
Area residents are happy to have a new supermarket.
"We haven't had a good supermarket in this area for a long time, so it's time. I'm happy," said local resident Katrina Jones.
The shopping center is reported to have a cycling studio, golf store and hair salon coming soon.
