Hundreds of people flocked to the 28th annual lighting of the Big Duck in Flanders Thursday evening.
The lighting was originally set to take place on Wednesday, but was postponed due to inclement weather.
Long Island residents were encouraged to bring the entire family to the Long Island landmark for the annual tradition.
The tradition started in 1988, shortly after the duck was donated to Suffolk County.
