? Some Northport residents went under the clippers to raise money for child cancer research as part of St. Baldrick?s Day.
Hundreds of kids and adults gathered at Napper Tandy?s bar and restaurant Saturday to get their heads shaved. Scott Arens, 10, says while his head is colder without the hair, he won?t miss it because he knows he lost it for a good cause. The brave, and now bald, participants got t-shirts that read ?I?m a hero to kids with cancer.?
Organizers of the event say people like Scott helped raise $350,000.
