Another gorgeous day across Long Island. Here's what's ahead

Looking ahead to Friday, expect another beautiful day to wrap up the workweek.

It was a picture-perfect day across Long Island, with plenty of sunshine and temperatures that felt just right. Most areas enjoyed comfortable highs in the 70s, and a few spots even reached the low 80s.
While a couple of brief, spotty showers popped up in some neighborhoods, they were quick-moving and didn’t cause much disruption.
Looking ahead to Friday, expect another beautiful day to wrap up the workweek. It’ll be a bit breezy at times with stronger winds picking up late evening, night. Gusts up to 30 mph are expected, but the sunshine sticks around, making it another great day to be outdoors.
Saturday brings a slight change, with the potential for some rain - mainly north and west of Long Island. That said, it won’t be a washout. We’re still expecting plenty of dry time, some sunshine, and continued breezy conditions.’
If you’ve got weekend plans, you’ll likely be able to enjoy them without too much interruption. Temperatures will trend warmer and more humid over the weekend, but the good news is that a stretch of comfortable, dry weather will return for most, if not all, of next week.
So if you're looking forward to early September outdoor activities, conditions are looking favorable.
