A house fire in Brookville was extinguished by responders Sunday afternoon.

The call came into the East Norwich Fire Department at around 2:10 p.m. for the fire at 63 Fruitledge Rd.

Ten neighboring departments arrived on the scene to help put it out.

The family was not home at the time of the fire. One firefighter was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
