A House Democrat started the process of forcing a floor vote on a resolution to expel Rep. George Santos from Congress.

Rep. Robert Garcia, who represents the 42nd District of California, introduced the resolution on the House floor Tuesday afternoon.

In a statement posted on his Twitter, Rep. Garcia wrote in part, "George Santos is a fraud and a liar, and he needs to be expelled by the House."

He says House Republicans now have two days to call a vote and go on the record whether they support Santos.
