A homicide investigation is underway following the death of a man found unconscious in a Hempstead neighborhood park.
According to police, the unidentified man was found in Brierley Park on Dartmouth Street around midnight.
Police only say the man was in his 30s and suffered trauma injuries to his body. The cause of death has not been released.
Felipe Mejia, a friend of the victim, told News 12 Long Island that the man had "drank too much" and fell asleep in the park Tuesday afternoon.
