A driver who hit a tree last night in Holtsville was trapped inside his Toyota for about a half-hour while rescue crews worked to save him.
First responders eventually freed the man on Nicolls Road, just south of Portion Road, and took him to a hospital.
Officials say he did not suffer any serious injuries.
