The clock is ticking on getting those presents ordered and wrapped. Still looking for some ideas for the kids, Eric Lands Grower with some of this year's hot holiday toys. My favorite time of the year here at News 12 when we welcome Laurie Leahy, senior editor at T 2 p.m. I am such a kid at heart. This is a time of year where we play Laurie. Thank you so much for being back here. This is making a lot of noise. All right, that's ok. Um And as you can see this year, wow, the News 12 toy shop is just overflowing with toys. The studio is packed and we're donating most of the toys that you see here to one of our local children's hospitals as we do every year. Let's start right now with TT P MS top toys this year. Yes. So this is a sample of our most wanted list, but you can see the full list and get full reviews of all of these toys on TT pm.com. We're gonna start with a light bright touch from Basic Fund. It uses buttons instead of pegs but it still lights up. There are three modes of play. It's a little more game play experience than creating art though. You can't. That's one of the modes and I think it's gonna be a great travel toy for the holidays. Bring it in the car on the plane with you. You know. And then we've also got fluffy stuffies from MG A. This is sort of a stuffed animal with a reveal. There's a layer of fluff that you peel out first and then you reveal a color or a design underneath. That's really cute. Knock the stuffing out of it. Ok. Exactly. Then we got snack from Zuru. I brought the big one because it's just really cute and Cuddy, but they do have smaller ones that are on surprise, but each one holds their favorite food or candy brand, which might be your favorite food, candy brand. So right then for another uh stuffed animal surprise, there's cookies make baked treats, oven play that for Moose toys. You mold dough, put it in the oven, press a button and like magic. It comes out as a bread themed stuffed animal that is warm and smells like freshly baked bread. Now does the truly magic stuffed animal speak to you? Yes, it does. It makes you hurt. Yeah. So this is like a pretzel, a pretzel bun dog. I know. Right. So we got this from Master. There's 15 digital pets that kids can collect. You. Open it up and it's got this flapping led screen, you can actually touch it so you can pretend to pet and touch your pets as you play, which is really cool. And then if you were a fan of teenage mutant turtles, mutant mayhem playmates toys has a full line of action figures and place thats to bring the action from the movie to life. These are all amazing toys and we have so much more ground to cover. We have, as you saw, the entire studio is packed with toys hang out because Laurie Leahy from TT PM is gonna be joining us to talk about all the other fun stuff that we have right here in the studio.

It's time to get those presents ordered and wrapped if you have it already. And if you're still looking for some ideas for the kiddos, our Eric L Grower has got you covered with some of this year's hot holiday toys back here with Laurie Lea. He's senior editor from TT PM. Let's talk Disney right now. This is exciting because Magic Kingdom is really big. Bringing it big time this year. Let's start right here. This is uh Disney Iy Forever. Yes. It's a line of fashion dolls, large fashion dolls. Each doll is based on a different Disney character. So their fashions and accessories are gonna be themed a little bit. Yeah, sure. This one's based on Olafs. It's got a nice snowy theme. So they're really fun for kids to play with and also collect. All right. So this one is fun too. This is a remote control Disney Princess carriage. Yes. Based on Cinderella's carriage. It looks so cool. The lights and the sounds really enhances that imaginative play for kids. Now, unfortunately, I'm I'm using Disney's Gourmet Kitchen, the Fresh Prep Gourmet kitchen to put on top of. But listen, I haven't told my daughter about this. She was a little bit younger. She would go nuts, talk about. So it's got lights phrases sounds. I mean, this has more features than my kitchen than any parent's kitchen really. But it's gonna be a lot of fun for that role play and imaginative play. Kids can pretend to be the princess or they can just pretend to be mom and dad in the kitchen. All right. So, uh, let's move along on this side of you. Right here is the Disney Princess Magical Adventures Castle. Yeah, this one's really cool. It has rooms themed each of the Disney princesses. You've got the moving flying carpet for Jasmine, the clock lights up like for Cinderella. Um It's really sweet. Doesn't come with any dolls but it's got plenty of space for all the dolls that you do have. Listen, I I love this one. Disney actually sent this to so we can put it around the tree at the hospital where we're doing the donation afterwards. So this is a lot of fun. This is the Mickey Mouse uh Holiday Express, but right on top of this and these are a lot of fun. Hold on. Is it the other 1 ft? Oh We hope. Butterfly. There you go. It's the butterfly ballerina, Minnie Mouse, the butterfly ballerina, Minnie Mouse say that three times and right next to her is the Hot Diggity Dance. Let's see if we can get this one. There you go. Hot diggity dance, Mickey Mouse. So a lot of fun stuff right here. Uh Also there a singing aerial this year doll, little mermaid doll. Um also and, and I'm holding this one. This one's adorable. These, the kids retro cuddly plus Mickey. So, so much fun stuff this year. I'm excited. So lots of new Disney movies, the Disney 100 celebration, lots of ways for our fans, young and old to have fun with Disney.

Here's Eric Lands Runner with this year's Hot Holiday toys. I'm back here with Laurie Leahy from TT PM and looking at some more of the Hot toys for the holidays this season. Uh Let's start right now over here. We've got some of these really cool. These are the giant Lego figures from Marvel. Yes, I love the Lego sets because it's like you're building your own action figure with those. It's so cool. I wanna move this because we've got both Captain America and Wolverine here. So we'll, we'll put that one down next on the list. We actually have uh Lego Star Wars. Oh, that's, that's actually the, the Jedi shuttle from MAOA. Lots of great details on this one. It looks like it's even maybe a um blaster a little bit. So lots of action there. We do like that. That's fun. Uh Parents, you know how much you love putting these together with your kids. Um Miss Marvel, this is a Marvel legends figure, so I'll try and get the glare off that one. That one's pretty cool as well. Um This one is interesting this past year we're trying to focus a lot on toys that were out, came out because of movies and shows that were out this year. So they had uh the rise of the Beast Transformer movie. Uh This is Optimus Primal. This is pretty cool. Um It's a mask but of course, it also does transform. Don't ask me to transform it. I won't be able to do that at least in the confines of this segment. Um I'm gonna let you, here's the button. Thank you. I feel powerful. The Kylo Ren Lightsaber Light. It never goes out of style. That's, uh that was sent over by, by Disney. Of course, there are ones that are made by, uh by Hare. There is Disney one also and this one's cool. This one I like, this is the Mattel Disney Cars Glow Race. Um, you know, they're gonna shoot right off the table, you know that, let's see what happens. Gotta get a little more, a little more for. Oh, nice. Only one got a cross that just means lightning. One cars, cars is always fun. Keep it right here on news 12. We're gonna have more of the hot holiday toys this year in our next segment.

I'm back here with Laurie Leahy from DT PM right now. Looking at the Hot Holiday toys from this year, Laurie. Um, there's so many great ones. II, I do wanna start. Let's, we got Rubble on the double right here. I, I'm gonna hit him a couple times and we want him to actually play the Paw Patrol theme song. He's not gonna do it. Now. Come on, there you go. The Paw Patrol theme song. This is the Mighty movie, Bulldozer Rubble. Yes. They have a lot of new car, uh, vehicles for the characters based on the new movie and it's so easy to activate because you just push down on the character and it goes, it's amazing right next to that is a mini furby. Yeah, this is the fur. So there's a new furby out this year. It's regular size. But then if you want to take your furby, fun on the go. You've got this little guy, you touch his head, got a little keychain, bring him with you wherever. Super duper. Cute and fun collectibles. All right, these are cute. These are the droids. So you just tilt their heads and they make all sorts of fun. Droid. Yeah. Stylized. Look through your favorite Droids. And there's chopper. We like chopper a lot. Chopper is good. Ok. Also we have the pop style that's from Spin Master. Talk about that. So it's a really easy way for kids to make bracelets beaded bracelets. Um, it's my seven year old loves it and she can do it on her own, which is perfect for me. And then you can redesign the bracelets as many times you want. Furby. Just keeps going and going and going and in the front right there in the bottom. We've got the bam bam Batmobile. That one's very cool. I'm sorry. It's the bam ba Yes. Yes. Bam, the Batmobile from the preschool series. Um, so much fun stuff this year. Do you have a favorite? I, I, you know, I never ask you, we, we always look through all the toys every year and I never ask you what your favorite is. You know what I do like the Grow and Groove Groot, but I, I will say he needs batteries. So Christmas morning, make sure beforehand that you have batteries ready to go or there's gonna be some disappointment. So how much does he grow? It goes to um, maybe like a foot tall and that's actually his full growth height, full height. Um So he starts a little bit smaller. Yeah, I think we're boring. Mini Fury right there. All right. Continuing to look at the Hot Toys this holiday season. You know, me, I'm a sucker for collectibles. Uh Let's bring back Laurie Leahy from TT PM. This is the uh Force Fx Elite Luke Skywalker Light Saber. This is from uh Hasbro and you know, they, they keep getting better and better. I love that. It's great for display, but then it's got the lights and the sound effects. So, I mean, you're gonna wanna play with it too, even if you're an adult, these are toys and I, I might have played with it a little bit. I mean, that's fine. Um This one's another fun one. the Marvel Legend series, uh always putting out cool items. This one is a Magneto helmet from the X Men. So, you know, if, if you're somebody who collects those also, this is very cool. Again, this is uh from Hasbro. Uh let's move along right now because these four D build sets are pretty amazing. These are from Spin Master. So that one in front of you is the, uh this is the V class Star destroyer, but they make, they make all sorts and they, they make uh Iron Man, which we've got here in front of you in the over there is uh Thor's Hammer Milner. Uh Just, yeah, it's different than a brick based building system because this is card stock. So you're kind of folding paper type pieces and putting all together. So if you're interested in something that's different from uh you know, construction or brick built, construction sets, you wanna check this out. I, I really like these Something that I think is amazing. And this is Lego put out the uh Disney Walt Disney 100. This is amazing. The attention to detail on this with the film strip and the camera love this. And it's only how many pieces did we say? It's, it's only 811 pieces. Hopefully you won't step on this in front of you over there. You've got another. That's a cool one. That's the uh yeah, it's a little under 1500 pieces even though it does have a lot of pieces. I think Lego does a really great job with our instruction booklets, believe, believe it or not engaging the people as they build. So you're gonna learn a little bit about the pyramid as you build it. And on my side over here, I actually have the Lego Alpine lodge. That's another one with more pieces than, than I have patience for, but, but certainly a lot of fun. Um, this one's fun. So we've got Indiana Jones and from the dial of Destiny movie, uh you know, collectible figure. This one is also from Hasbro. It's got a little bit more gray than I remember. Of course, of course. But, uh but again, these are real but, but these are great for, for anybody out there who just wants to collect, you know, nostalgic. Exactly. That means something to them here in the front now. Funko Pop. I'm gonna hand that one to you. That's Jake, that's Jake Sully. I love just the stylized version of your favorite characters with Funko is so cool. They have so many characters to collect. And also they just started this year. You can pop yourself. You can make your own Funko based on how you look. Nobody wants a pop of me, that's for sure. We also in the very front have some G I Joe stuff. Um M marble. It's, it's incredible how many toys there are and especially collectibles in that segment. Yes, indeed. And they do a great job of creating has been, does a great job of creating the, the characters and the action figures and the, the collectible masks and helmets and all of that.
