Suffolk police say they are looking for the public's help in identifying the driver who struck and seriously injured a woman in Huntington Station.
The victim was reportedly trying to cross New York Avenue just after 7 p.m. Thursday when she was hit by a vehicle.
The dark-colored sedan fled the scene southbound.
The woman had to be airlifted to the hospital from the scene and is said to be in serious condition.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
